Grappling and Weapon Arts at the dojo!

Grappling Guest Instruction, Weapon Arts, November Leadership Team Events! 

Our dojo welcomed guest instructor, Coach Zach Shiomos last week to work on grappling with our black belt and adult class. The class focused on ground grappling and allowed our students to have a more in depth practice. It was great to have Coach Shiomos in the dojo – we look forward to his next visit!

This month’s weapons arts classes also took place last week and allowed our students more practice with bo. Did you miss our Friday class? Consider joining us for one of our weapons clinics over the Thanksgiving break next week – more details can be found in our active member email blasts.

The Leadership Team also attended their third full team training of the season on Friday. All three levels of our Leadership Team and our teaching team were together to work on public speaking, team building activities, one on one coaching, and in class leadership strategies. It was a jam packed night full of learning and team bonding. We always love full team training nights; they’re a great opportunity to have most of our leaders in the dojo at the same time!
